Mark and Christina review season 2, episode 3 of Road to Avonlea. In this episode, we delve into Hetty’s character and Miss Muriel Stacey’s return to Avonlea. We also meet Gus PIke and follow his journey from the cannery to the schoolhouse.
Hetty tries to turn Gus Pike into a model student, in order to impress the new superintendent of schools, former Avonlea school teacher Muriel Stacey. Gus thinks that going to school means that he will have to give up what he loves most: playing his fiddle. Miss Stacey, seeing his dilemma, encourages Gus to use his talents.
